WORKING WAR

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I  have risen like a phoenix from the ashes. I have spoken against the masses now like their false idols. They try to crucify me on the cross they bought on clearance at Walmart. This has become a working war like a  sport. They do not know I'm going pro, so I need not use my emotions but my mind and play smart.

Where is my favorite baseball bat? I'm ready to hit the ball out of the park and light a spark underneath their asses. When the man decided to take food from not my mouth but my family's mouth, the hunter became the hunted.

I built myself from the ground up, gathering my parts to build the machine I have become. I am no longer the man that they are trying to break. I got my shovel, and I'm ready for their shit. I am prepared to take it because I am stronger than this working war. They have no idea how far I am willing to walk or to whom I am willing to talk.

I am ready to go. I got my drum, and I am painting my face. I am writing my story, which these fools can not erase. I might be broken, but I am ready for this working war.
