Rumors

Rumors, whispers in the air,
Spread so quickly, everywhere.
They stick like glue, impossible to ignore,
Spreading mistrust, leaving hearts sore.

One word, one thought, can cause such harm,
Tearing apart friendships, causing alarm.
The emotional impact, too great to ignore,
It's not just a rumor, it's so much more.

Trust becomes shattered, tears begin to fall,
A friendship once strong, now feels so small.
The damage done, hard to repair,
Leaving behind a trail of despair.

Rumors can be cruel, a poison to the soul,
Leaving scars that may never be whole.
But we must stand strong, and rise above,
For rumors, they never prosper or truly prove.

With love and honesty, we can break the chain,
And put an end to the pain and the strain.
For rumors may spread, but truth prevails,
And in the end, love never fails.

It shows the reality of rumors and how effective they are, It encourages us to spread love instead. It is also amazingly written.

I chose this particular poem because I can reminisce so strongly of what happened to my 15 year old daughter when she parted away from her two best friends due to ‘Rumours’ & how it profoundly affected her mental health well-being. Hence the reason I can completely resonate with it
