R.I.P Paul
A true icon
A legend
A heart full of love
Taken too soon,
This world is so tough.
Words cannot express
how heartbroken we feel
how in silence we stand
from the Sadness, unreal.
From once a young man
in ole London shows,
Dressed in drag dresses
& scuffed up stilettos.
Singing your heart out to all
who would hear,
Not once did you show
your pain through a tear.
In the 80's savage
was born to our screens
How natural you played her
As we watched & we beamed,
You left us in fits of laughter & glee
As we huddled the sofa as one family.
Your whitty jokes & sarcasm too
Was such a indulgence rare & new.
You stood firm & proud for your beliefs & your right
Supporting those charities day & night,
How the publics love for you soon blossomed with bloom
How your infectious smile lit up the room.
And Whatever you believed in
you did it with soul,
You wouldn't retire
Til you reached that goal.
Those theatrical appearances
made ticket sales rocket
You always Gave generously
from your very own pocket.
On the radio your voice that caught our attention
How all of the time your dogs got a mention.
The years,months & hours
you always did share
Devoted to dogs because you do care.
How I emotionally watched
for love of dogs show,
How you nurtured & played & helped the dogs grow
But so many times
i saw you repeat.....
now this cutie is living with me....
She's ever so sweet.
How they mesmerised you
they captured your heart,
As you cuddled them closely
you just could not part.
You engage the audiences
right from the start
The love & emotion you kept in your heart.
The nations behind you every step of the way
The awards you deserved for the effort you gave.
This is a small praise that I share
Now you are gone
The tv is bare
A scarr imbed so raw & so deep
The memories left
Forever to keep
Another good one
Taken so fast
When we woke to the Sadness
You did depart
May you rest in peace
as you lay to sleep
Until we meet our memories keep.
