Call me, Mr. Heartache

We stopped talking,
Many moons ago,
On separate roads, we've been walking,
Because our hearts, are running low,
Last chat was, on a saturday,
On the sabbath, you went away,

Say,
Do you guys still wear masks,
I know I still do,
Put on a smile when someone asks,
'How are you?'
Truth is I miss you alot,
My love for you is all I've got,
The Beatrice to my Dante,
What I see when I dream, and press 'play',
Yet, your voice is nowhere to be heard,
Flapping its wings away from me,
like a hummingbird,

Call me, Mr. Heartache.
Long Nights,
Blue eyes,
Dreams keeping me awake,
Reality putting me to sleep,
Because you close to me,
I can't seem to keep,

How long is the wait,
By then will it be too late?
How long is the road,
Didn't you want to visit, maybe study abroad?

I'm here, by the river,
Where life flows,
And death sows,
Wondering with, or without you though?
You might be as cold as her,
Making me freeze to death,
Long before I run out of breath,

Does the Rhein stand in our way,
Our differing faiths, too different in what they say?
For it to work out,
So many tears, have been shed out of doubt,
So long ago now, the Rhein has turned to drought,

An Orchid seed, bought in the shores of Bali,
Supposed to bloom, like Eve and Wall-e,
A flower sadly, planted out of season,
Watered by a fool, devoid of reason,

I always wanted you to confirm,
That your love for me still stands firm,
That it is the elements such as the current,
That has dealt on our relationship a warrant,
Trying to cage our orchid away, where it will never see the sun,
That it is not you,
But the world,
Trying everything in its power, to make the two of us blue,

I still plan to take you on top of Babel,
The view of the Euphrates is great from here,
The humming of sweet nothings in my ear,
Telling me I won’t need to force a smile anymore,
Because this time when I knocked, you opened the door,
“Gioiaa” visible in my eyes,
Because you actually came back, after our silent goodbyes,

'May the Lord keep us,

On the palm of His hand,

Until,

We meet again,

When the sun shines brightly,

Over the Rhein,

And I finally,

Will have you by my side'

Call me,

~A. Heartache

~The boy who knew Christ though a Hijabi girl; "I love her, have honest feelings for her and Christ loves her even more than I do and died for her. What I see in her sees Christ moreso in all of us, good or evil, rich or poor Christian or not. And worst of it all, she doesn't know him. How do I introduce Him to her?" more…
