Paradigm shift

Isn't it strange how time comes to a stop when your world comes crashing down
Everything seems like an empty void like you're all alone in some sort of ghost town
Somehow you're still standing and have forgotten that you're still breathing
The heart might be broken but if there is still light inside me then Im still living

The universe is telling me to somehow keep on going
To where exactly? To that, I have no clue but to keep on moving
Fail as many times no matter the struggle but at least keep on trying
You only lose when you accept the voices in your head so do not give in

There's a time and place for everything for there is always sunlight after rainfall
For every ying, there's a yang, every triumph & failure to all those close calls
One thing never changes is the time spent that you'll never get back
Enjoy the smallest victories since they are gentle reminders to stay on track

These trials have many forms; being your first words, steps, and the first of many heartstrings...
Like a simple smile from a crush or a soon-to-be ex ripping your soul and life-draining you completely
The only thing wasted is the amount of energy reminiscing about the past while the clock keeps ticking
So stay the course and keep pressuring on because the only cure that can heal all things

Is to keep living on while telling yourself that this is not the end but only just a new beginning
