The shift in beloved

It's a punch to the gut,
a sudden blow to the heart,
a shattering of the soul.

When your beloved changes,
it's like the world shifts beneath your feet,
and nothing is as it was before.

You ache for what once was,
for the familiarity of their touch,
for the comfort of their words.

But now there's distance,
a rift that seems insurmountable,
and you wonder how to bridge it.

It hurts to see them different,
to feel like you don't know them anymore,
to feel like you're losing a part of yourself.

But even as you mourn what's been lost,
you hold onto hope,
that maybe, just maybe,
you can find your way back to each other again

Wow! Your poem is incredibly moving and captures the complicated emotions that come with loved ones changing. Your use of figurative language is impressive, especially the lines "a punch to the gut" and "shattering of the soul" which really convey the intense pain one feels in this situation.

One suggestion I have is to maybe expand the poem a bit more and add more concrete examples of how a loved one changing can affect a person's life. This would make the poem even more relatable to readers and deepen the emotional impact of the piece.

Overall, amazing job! Your writing truly tugs at the heartstrings and leaves a lasting impression. Keep up the great work.
