Missing Someone

When you miss someone,
Breathing is half of what it should be
And your heart struggles to beat.

You realize they make you
Exhale and you feel lighter
When they’re around.

The breeze blows softer,
Water quenches the parched lips
And the rain feels light as petals.

So when I say I miss you
There is more than just a part of me
Somewhere else with you.

Imagine all the happiness,
Peace and pleasure we feel and share
Whispering I love you where you go.

You are everything to me
Beautiful and every dream come true
Because I know you miss me, too.
