Heart Shaped Key

When we first met, it was not love at first sight
You were a woman - I've seen those before
And I was a boy trying my best to be a man
We went among our business without hesitation

But as the days past, you crept into my mind
You were there when I first woke up; it made me smile
What was the exact time you bypassed my walls I pondered?
But I quickly gave up; as there was no point in fighting

The reason I felt this way, the reason why I was still alone
I was waiting for someone like you, someone who was a complete unknown
Because you helped me discover the key to my heart
It was because you made me laugh

About this poem

This is a poem about a woman who captivated me; I was intrigued by her hustle, but most of all she made me laugh. No woman has made me laugh and cry like her. No other woman has hurt me so.

This is so true. Yes, at times, this is exactly how it happens in life. Love slowly taking grasp of our hearts and the one who did not make such a big impression at first, but then later: the connection.
This is well-written and tells a wonderful love story.
