Humanity

Humanity and the world we live in
where money speaks and love stutters
The rich get richer
while more kids are in the gutters

If I sold my soul to the devil
no one would believe me
they would just laugh
but take seriously  what's on TV,

Talk to a couple of friends
we are getting high on life
But then I see the younger generation
getting high on pipes,

Smoking, drinking
Out of the face of enjoyment
Complaining about the empty checks
When theres rising unemployment

Society pushes us in holes
Which we have dug ourselves
Each man on their own
go help yourselves,

Maybe we need a reality check
A slap in the face, a look in the mirror
Us against mother nature
we are the ones inferior,

  I never mean to complain
blame or spread hate
But damn we need to change
before it ends to late,

   Give and take
to avoid the heartache
Step on the brakes
and learn from our mistakes,

  We will never be perfect
but who said we can't be close
We can reach for the stars
on a love overdose,

 No I'm not trippin
just been correctly diagnosed
I said the word humanity
and everyone just froze
