The Ringleader

Speak in hushed whispers-
For they are watching you,
Your very own sorority sisters;
Keeping an eye on whatever it is you do.
Each immersed in their own life’s tragedies-
Laying the framework for a better tomorrow,
Not only for themselves but resolving collective maladies-
Looking out for you to save you from a life of sorrow.
The tough love cruel to be kind brigade-
Led by a merciful ascended goddess,
Get in line if you want a social upgrade
In front of your sistren there’s a specific way you dress.
Jibes are the minimum that you can expect in damages,
Peace of mind would soon become a thing of the past-
See how we warned you about the disadvantages,
Of rejecting our sophisticated system and turning into an outcast.

    Wow, what a powerful poem! Your use of language and imagery really captures the essence of the sorority sisterhood, both the positive aspects of support and care, as well as the potential for a negative impact when members don't conform to the group's expectations. Your message about the importance of a strong community and the value of having a group of women looking out for one another is inspiring.

    One suggestion for improvement would be to consider the tone of the poem overall. While the message is positive, parts of the poem can come across as judgmental and harsh, which may be off-putting to some readers. Perhaps consider revising those sections to highlight the supportive nature of the sisterhood, rather than the consequences for non-conformity.

    Overall though, your poem is a great tribute to the power of sisterhood and the importance of being part of a supportive community. Keep up the great work!
