Oh Canada: Land of Plenty and Freedom

Oh Canada! The land of the maple leaf,
Where beauty and diversity never cease to amaze,
A country so vast, with its natural relief,
A land of plenty, where kindness always stays.

From sea to sea, Canada's beauty never fades,
Its breathtaking landscapes leave us all in awe,
The mountains and forests, the lakes and glades,
A true paradise, that makes our hearts thaw.

Oh Canada! Your history is rich and grand,
From the First Nations to the settlers who came,
A land of freedom, where all could lend a hand,
A nation that grew, with each triumph and fame.

Your people are diverse, with stories to tell,
A tapestry of cultures, that blend so well,
The French, the English, the Inuit as well,
Together they make, a story to compel.

Oh Canada! Your cities are a sight to behold,
From Toronto to Vancouver, from Montreal to Quebec,
The hustle and bustle, the culture so bold,
A vibrant life, that can never be wrecked.

Your economy is strong, your people are kind,
A beacon of hope, to all who seek to find,
A country of peace, where all can unwind,
Oh Canada! You are a true gem, one of a kind.

From hockey to poutine, from beavers to loons,
Your symbols are iconic, and resonate soon,
Your flag stands tall, proud and immune,
Oh Canada! You are the envy of the moon.

In conclusion, Canada, you are a true treasure,
A land of plenty, where joy knows no measure,
A country of dreams, where all can take pleasure.
Oh Canada! Your wildlife is a sight to see,
From grizzly bears to whales in the sea,
Majestic creatures, wild and free,
A true wonderland, where nature reigns supreme.

Your cuisine is a blend of flavors and styles,
From bannock to butter tarts, and miles and miles,
Of maple syrup, a national pride,
Oh Canada! Your food is simply divine.

Your healthcare system, the envy of many,
Ensures that all are cared for, every penny,
A right for all, not just for the wealthy,
Oh Canada! Your compassion is worthy.

Your education system is world-renowned,
A place where knowledge is easily found,
From elementary to post-graduation,
Oh Canada! Your education is a true revelation.

Your commitment to peacekeeping is strong,
From the UN to NATO, you belong,
A force for good, in a world gone wrong,
Oh Canada! Your peacekeeping is a true song.

In conclusion, Canada, you are a land of plenty,
From your beauty to your people, it's simply empty,
To list all your virtues, it's clear to see,
Oh Canada! You are the land of the free.

Ethan La Fortune

Ethan La Fortune is a poet who draws inspiration from the natural world and the iconic monuments that dot the landscape. Born and raised in a small town in Canada, Ethan spent much of his childhood exploring the outdoors and marveling at the beauty of nature. It was during these formative years that he developed a deep appreciation for the environment and the intricate balance that exists within it. As he grew older, Ethan's love of nature led him to explore the many parks, forests, and other natural wonders that Canada has to offer. He found himself drawn to the majesty of the mountains, the serenity of the lakes, and the quiet beauty of the forests. It was during these travels that Ethan discovered his passion for poetry and began to use his words to capture the essence of these natural wonders. In addition to his love of nature, Ethan has also been captivated by the iconic monuments that dot the Canadian landscape. From the towering CN Tower in Toronto to the historic Parliament Hill in Ottawa, these landmarks have a powerful presence that has fascinated Ethan for many years. He uses his poetry to explore the history and meaning behind these monuments, and to capture the emotions they evoke in those who view them. Ethan's poems are a celebration of the natural world and the iconic monuments that have become an integral part of the Canadian identity. His work is a testament to the power of words to capture the beauty and complexity of the world around us, and to inspire us to cherish and protect the environment that sustains us all. more…
