He was broken, I was damaged goods.

Melody Ward 1999 (Montclair, CA)

March 23

He was broken, I was damaged goods.
The light couldn't possibly shine
Among the hills of fresh green falsehoods.
He was broken, I was damaged goods.
My losses are buried in the woods,
Along with the shards of scars I regret to name mine
He was broken, I was damaged goods.
The light couldn't possibly shine.
