"The Self: A Reflection"

I am the self, the essence of my being
A spark of divinity, forever unseeing
My thoughts and feelings, like waves in the sea
Ebb and flow, endlessly, endlessly

I am the self, the core of my existence
A tapestry of memories, both pain and bliss
The sum of my experiences, joys and strife
And yet, much more than that, the thread of life

I am the self, the silence in my mind
A witness to my thoughts, both cruel and kind
The stillness beneath the chaos and noise
And the voice that speaks, in whispers and poise

I am the self, the light in my heart
A flame that flickers, yet never departs
The source of love, the wellspring of hope
And the fire that burns, and helps me cope

I am the self, the soul of my being
A journey of discovery, ever-seeing
The quest for truth, the search for meaning
And the path to freedom, the ultimate gleaning

I am the self, the hero of my story
A warrior of light, in all my glory
The one who rises, after every fall
And the one who answers, to the higher call

I am the self, the master of my fate
A creator of my reality, both early and late
The architect of my dreams, and the author of my life
And the one who wields, the power of the divine

I am the self, the embodiment of love
A vessel of compassion, and grace from above
The mirror of the universe, and the universe in me
And the one who embraces, all that I can be

I am the self, the mystery and the magic
A paradox and a puzzle, both tragic and comic
The yin and yang, the light and dark
And the one who dances, in the cosmic park

I am the self, the eternal flame
A part of the universe, yet never the same
The alpha and omega, the beginning and end
And the one who transcends, beyond the bend

I am the self, the infinite and the finite
A paradox and a wonder, in the cosmic night
The one who seeks, and the one who finds
And the one who always, always shines.
