Soul Searching

Soul Searching 1953 (Ayarkaunnam)

Soul Searching

In a soul-less world
To search for a soul
Was the crime I did
But I don't regret

"Great or small.
Humans must search
That's all, that's all,"
Heard a whisper beyond my reach.

So I moved on always on the look out
To find a soul to end my search
To my surprise didn't one find
May be they are there and I am blind.

Here I lie, confused and lost
Heard again and again that whisper at last
"Search for what you search
in the cave of your heart"
There I found the soul of the world
Covered with too much of self, but still there.
