Frangipane

To my favorite frangipane tree,
Why do you not pay attention to me?
Why do your flowers close at night?
Why do your bright colors give me a fright?

Dear kind person questioning me,
I don't find you full of glee.
It was just the way I was made my friend,
You must have eyes from 'round the bend!
