Where Do We Go From Here

Where Do We Go From Here
By Nancy Rodriquez

Where do we go from here?
Your love is buried in my heart,
Losing you was my greatest fear,
and the flame is still burning, never to depart,
Your words echo in my mind,
and you want me to move forward,
hesitation is what I find,
and each day I have nothing left to go toward,
Seeing you had been the highlight of my day,
as we shared our thoughts and our lives,
We were there to share come what may,
and when you broke up with me,
I have had cloudy days,
When we had much more to be,
I will love you in all of my tomorrows,
keep my torch lit for you every day,
Reflect on all of my sorrow,
and live out the things I pray for.
