death rises

an  lost  disciple on  a cross
nine  inch  nails   chiseled  in  his  ageing  skin
he  hangs  like a  displaced   bat
his    limbs   stretched to  the   edge

beneath  his  wings
he  repents   for   his   sins

naked  to  the  truth
his  body  entwined   in   lies

black  ravens   peck the  outside  of his  body
his  mind   can  not   be   consoled

blood stained      bones   echo  with   loneliness
 no  longer   blessed   with  goodness

his  life   has  been  taken
as his  last  breath   departs

he  is   taken   down
rested   upon   the   ground
  he   rises
