The Key To Lasting Happiness

There once was a notion quite clever,
That happiness came not from treasure,
But from balance of health,
And a poor memory's stealth,
To cherish each moment, free from all fetter

For good health brings vigor and life,
A sharp mind, and freedom from strife,
And bad memory, though a curse,
Can be a blessing in reverse,
As we forget the pain and the knife.

So let us cherish our bodies and minds,
With habits that strengthen and unwind,
And let go of the past's heavy weight,
To find happiness in each moment, great.

For happiness is a choice we make,
To see the good, and let our hearts shake,
With joy and love and all that's pure,
And to live life fully, with spirit sure.
