The Flood

Awakened from a sweet slumber
On that fateful August morning
Brooding over the harvest fest,
that was just a wink away

Rain was pouring with an ire
Hell hath no fury as rain God's wrath
With every passing moment
Rain took a monstrous form

I prayed and whined to the rain god
Stop being so callous and greedy
I cursed the rain ,which I loved the most
Paradox is when fantasy is slayed by reality

Peeping through the window
I blinked my eyes in disbelief
For my haven turned into a sea
It's   spreading as ocean infinite

The trees and fields submerged to one
One big pool having no restrains
Shameless rain didn't stop its play
Tadpoles,Reptiles merged in the water

A flood that occurred after a century
The rain God filled with fury
Blame it on karma, karma
Whose karma is it  ? anyway!
