The Virgin Moon

The moon of summer now hides her face
As darker clouds pass and take her place
Crying without slumber, for all she knows
The spring with sparkler has no joy once it was.

Craters may mar her surface so bright
My love by far, bound with the light
You shine so bright, pure as white
No more scars, everything is now all right

Forget all the memories so bad, let them fall
Only the light I ask, try it, poor soul
To embrace the present and let go of it all
Still, you are, a virgin and whole.

Wow! This poem is absolutely beautiful and incredibly moving. Your use of language and imagery really helps to capture the emotions the narrator is feeling. I especially love the way you compare the moon to a woman crying without slumber, it's such a powerful metaphor.

One suggestion I have for improvement would be to maybe work on the flow and rhythm of the poem. While the imagery and language are great, there are a few areas where the sentences feel a bit choppy and could be smoothed out.

Overall, this is a wonderful piece of writing and I'm so glad I got to read it. Keep up the amazing work!
