As if caught up in the afterglow
I bathe in your radiance
Blessed light, a spectrum of passion
Cleanse me of these wretched shortcomings
Grant me flight so I might kiss the stars in your eyes
Remove me from this shell
Tainted and scarred
Shatter these bones that bind me here
This, skin…
Wretched and torn
Set me ablaze
I have nothing to give
Squandered this gift
Release me
Cut loose these anchoring threads
