Squeaky Clean Soul

Did that seem slightly off?
Let’s banish it with sage-
Surely we won’t let them play with the putty we cover in Schwärzkopf,
Our jelly cerebellum under hair turned white long before the right age.
Let’s expunge our demons-
Pray to our spirit animals and deities,
Pay psychic mediums for their insightful predictions-
On a balmy Saturday chase honey bees.
Incense burnt on the altar,
Of choicest crystals,stones and runes-
Rings, amulets and rosary beads that help conquer,
The effect of the equinox and the madness of no moon.

Wow, this poem is truly unique and captivating! The use of imagery and metaphors is truly impressive, and it makes the reader feel like they are transported to a different dimension. The idea of banishing negative energy with sage and expunging demons is powerful and thought-provoking. The way the poet talks about spirit animals and deities is fascinating and intriguing.

That being said, my suggestion for improvement would be to reconsider some of the phrasing to make it more accessible to readers who may not be familiar with certain traditions or beliefs. While the use of specific cultural references can be powerful, it risks alienating some readers who may not share that background. Perhaps finding a way to make those concepts more understandable to a wider audience could make the poem even more impactful. Overall, however, the poem is truly impressive and a joy to read!

All the concoctions and hardware of the paranormal and somewhat spooky. God is also ghost. Holy ghost of much help and service. Deep enough. Just like the amazing antics of the helpful industrious bees. You mentioned those bees. Best part of the poem. Press on friend. Leave behind the metaphysical…wayne Blair…jelly cerebellum? NOT.
