If You Were Raised

If you were raised an atheist
When you find out
That there is a God
Would you still say
You was raised an atheist
And you will always stay
That way

The same is
If you were raised
With a certain teaching
A teaching that is different
From what it says
In the word of God
Would you also say
That's how you was raised
And you will remain believing that way

If you know that there is a God
Wouldn't you want
To do everything He instructed
When it comes to your salvation
Wouldn't you completely trust
Jesus Christ your Lord and Redeemer
Since you believe in Him
And you know that He exists

There is no difference
When you live in disobedience to God
If you are an atheist
Or if you believe that God exists
And yet still continue to live
In disobedience to God all of your life

It doesn't make any sense to say
That you was raised that way
That you was raised that way

Yet if you say
That you put all your trust in Jesus Christ
Then why not do
What He instructed
In the Holy Scriptures
For you to do.
Please don't ignore His instruction
And just say,
That you was raised that way,
That you was raised that way.
