What comes to mind

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

What comes to mind
Comes from the soul
As I suckle at my glasses
Feeling so old
I realise that the masses
appreciate the whole
They say the things
I want them to say
Even the things
that make them betray
Its a food so bitter
A love in disarray
But I feel also
They know the better way
We've evolved so far
Despite actions anyway
And eventually i know
That we'll all learn to pray
For peace, hope and unity
We're getting through the dark
And finding the day
The light, the joy
Will be something to see
A heaven on earth
A yesterday remade
And as we find this tender milk
The yolk will form
And the doves will drink
The call will be made
And the tribe relinked
Awakened
Alive
Saved from the brink
So when you feel alone
Where angels softly blink
Remember someway
We are one as we think
