There Should Be Me

Saudia Danih 1993 (Zamboanga Sibugay)

At times when the days are tough
while the roads are rough,
there should be me
being soft to myself.

And when the nights are cold
that I could barely hold,
there should be me
being warmth to myself.

So whenever I cry
after failing for so many try,
there should be me
being cheerer to myself.

Because nobody will
if I won't learn the drill.
No, don't get me wrong,
I am just teaching myself to be strong.

Because let's face it,
Others are busy doing it.
So, why can't I help myself
to learn to be there for myself?
