Smash

I learned my anger
As the plate smashed your wrist;
As the soap hit your eye;
And the folk hit your forehead
I learned my anger
As the fists flew
And I became the door wedge
To stop you bursting through
I learned my anger
As I stopped looking at your blows
I learned that there's a place
Where only my anger goes
I learned my anger
As I followed you
And you don't know
How evil my thoughts went to
I learned my anger
Is a part of me
That this is where It stops
And now I won't let it free
I learned my anger
As the metal touched my wrist
And the thoughts in my head
Said you wouldn't be missed
I learned my anger
When it stared me in the face
And I scratched it and pinched it
Without dignity or grace
I learned my anger
almost every day
I wish it would seice
or go away
