Raindrops

Belinda Richmond 1979 (Chicago)

Raindrops are falling
 from the sky,
To free us from
 a drought,
these grounds are so dry.
Raindrops keep falling
down on my head,
To moisten the dry dirt and
bring Life to the
green grass again.
When the Raindrops fall,
it's relaxing to hear,
After the rain,
 the air is so clear.
The air is crisp,
the skies are so Blue.
We had a Long Drought,
This Storm was long due.
It's a Beautiful Day,
The Sun shines so High,
After a Downpouring of Rain,
From the Raindrops
from the Sky!!!

I think one should not take this as a literal rain but as the sunshine so to speak after the cold.
Poetry many times as metaphorical, and this poem, I think, is an example of it.
    Good stuff!
