Croz

Croz

The day I heard you died
I almost cut my hair
Guinnevere echoed through the halls
And drifted up the stairs.
Now my nights are lonely
And will never be the same
But they’ll be a little better
If I can only remember my name.

So carry me my friend
Homeward through the haze
Be my shadow captain
For the remainder of my days
Your voice above the rest
My aching soul does stir
When my wooden ship sets sail
It’s your voice I will hear.

About this poem

I have a good musician friend who is a big David Crosby fan. I wrote this as a small tribute when he passed earlier in the year.
