Adventure

Adventure 2003 (Shostka)

Let’s pack up for an adventure
Where you’ll see all my past directions,
With my past discretions.
Where I picked up all my sorrows
The knife collection in my back
With all the tattooed animations placed just like a treasured map
As well as many scars, like the pirates favorite Red “X” hidden marks

There you’ll find my many hidden secrets
All the “good times” that makes me miss it
Many pedals ripped in pieces
All the bridges left in screeches
All the sticky notes, I swear, just keep falling down, my downstream air.
In every single one saying words “I love you”
Just keeps yelling at me “how awful”
You believed every single word, didn’t you?
Ohh how pathetic, just look at you.

Now I’m a survivor of those death defining moments.
Always keeping my eyes locked on forward
If I look just once again into my past,
I’ll turn into a pillared statue, just like that.
Becoming laughingstock for everyone to see,
How much of a loser I must be.
To look behind and pity the past me

Can’t believe that phase already past
All the burdens just laids off
So come through for my adventure
See my path unfold into your doorstep
Following the Red Carpet into my old doorstep

About this poem

When people ask me how am I do positive all the time? And how you’re still standing. My life is an adventure and mostly behind the scenes.
