IN THE CITY

In the city —
within the dull-gray yonder,
my muse always awaits

The abundance of:
parasites, lavishing cells, aloof smiles,
do churn my tranquility
relentlessly,
and I —
loath to give in,
as there's so much to unravel;

mingling’s never gone astray

In the city —
my muse always awaits,
as we: hide, and seek —
each other.
