Casual Chat. Bomb gets dropped.

This woman pulled a convenient cart
Little white dog inside
With a bad leg. Cold wintery.
Woman sort of talk-shy.
Taking garbage bag to
Apartment dumpster.
Then a little roundabout.
Dressed warmly.
she got bold and blurted.
Doggy came just a couple
Of days back.
Was the pet of her girlfriend
Eighty-five and just died.
BOING. That one came
Out of left field.
Small inner Voice said.
Just listen Doug, just listen.
This is not a fix-it venture.
God ordained moments.
Lady said she was seventy-five.
Alone, one BR. unit.
Apartments turn out having
Vital community. Yep.
Be on the ready.
