Acrostic Number Three

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

B ecause lies in this world are everywhere,
E veryday Your cleansing flow will make me whiter than snow!

B ut the truth is in the Word, you’ll find it there.
Y ou should not seek the things that can only be seen!

J ust the Truth and the hope of those being redeemed,
E verything in this world that you think brings contentment,
S till causes you grief and leads to resentment,
U nless you have found the one true source of peace,
S ilver, riches and gold won’t bring you relief!

T he saints will all be raised up and gathered to the few,
H owever, the ones without faith, will remain in their fiery pews,
E veryday Your cleansing flow will make me whiter than snow!

A cceptance is what we all long for and need,
U nderstanding in all of our ways,
T hankful hearts that rejoice and bleed,
H is blessing on all of our days,
O ur joy begins and remains in Jesus,
R emember, Lord, all of our friends!

A ll of our money and power won’t free us,
N o riches and surely not men,
D epend on our Savior and “Don’t be afraid!”

P ut Him first in all that you do,
E verything else then can be delayed,
R emember His promises are true,
F irst seek the Lord in all of your ways,
E verything else He will give to you,
C ome as you are and love Him today,
T hank God that you’re one of the few,
E ach one that He chooses cannot slip away,
R eturn to the one that loves you!

O Lord, thank you, for all the things you do,
F or being first in my life, the only one true!

O verlooking our transgressions in all the things we do,
U nderstanding that we’re made from dust, as only you can do,
R aising up Your children and teaching us to love!

F orgiveness is the cornerstone that You are speaking of,
A way from all the worries that this world has to offer,
I believe as I remain in You, I won’t become a scoffer,
T he treasures we have in this world are life, faith and hope,
H is perfect love drives out our fears so that we all can cope!
