WHO DO YOU THINK I AM?

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I have been walking this land of nothingness for years behind my time remembering memories of who I was in different forms, the only questions that I have been asking myself while I lay awake at night. is no longer how many times did I die but how many times was I reborn and now am I really alive?

I do not walk on water and do not believe in instilling fear so I do not know who you think I am there are those times I ask myself am I even a man or some angel or God?

These clouds that follow me will rise again but this time like every other I will touch their softness and call them to an end. I was sent with a message but I do not remember what it was because of my life was filled with misery until now and I am standing in the light of the shadows of my past self my ghost.

Who do you think I am, when you do not even know who you were? maybe you were covered in skin or maybe you were covered in fur, or maybe you had wings being in this second once again I am learning how to sit back and fly after centuries of you trying to burn me down without knowing who you think I am
