Persona

Your persona,
a butterfly,
a cloudy day,
a quiet night,
a sweet embrace,
a distraction,
an argument,
a painful night.
You're the blood that
reigns within my
tattered body;
A soothing calm.
You're the spark that lights
a raging blaze in
my bleakest of nights;
begged for or even
unwanted.
You annoy me,
you inspire me,
you dislike me,
you adore me.
You linger in my mind,
when the darkest of shadows
looms over my head;
some nights you become the moon.
You pull me in and give me life,
then set as an ever-loving
mother lies down to quickly rest
just before the sun breaks the sky.
Someone such as I
could never deserve
a person of such
perfect quality.
It's your persona
that gives me cool breath,
with shy warm blushes,
and a peaceful death.
