P.E.T.S. (People Enslaved to Socialism)

Have you ever had a pet?
Chances are pretty good I bet
You give them food, water, shelter and medical care
In return they give you loyalty and love, which is pretty fair
They will always be at your side
Their allegiance is strong I must confide
But then it suddenly dawned on me
I to was a pet
I wasn’t free
How does such a thing come to be?
Well, it’s quite easy to see
The government gives you food, water, shelter and medical care
SNAP, Section 8, Obamacare
You give them your devotion and vote
You see, you’re a pet
The governments little joke
Give it to me free
Then let me be
You work for me
Can’t you see?
Your blind adoration for me?
Stay home, be safe and don’t fret my lil pet
I’m from the government
Trust me your all set
The entitlements you crave
Are all the rave
As are the chains that bind
My obedient slave
Oops, I meant pet
Sometimes we forget
But you’re a pet so that’s ok
Because we tell you where to lay
And like a pet you simply obey
Good boy

Eric (and sometimes not)
