Echoes of Love: An Epic Poem Celebrating the Beauty of Life's Diaries

Mawphniang Napoleon 1993 (Ri Bhoi)

Oh love of my life, how can I express
The gratitude that overflows my heart,
For these diaries, of leather dressed,
That you brought from far and distant part.
Your handwriting, in Spanish and in French,
Reflects the depth of your passion and care,
A testament to the love that you impart,
And the joy that you share with me so rare.

These diaries are more than just a gift,
They are a symbol of your selfless love,
A record of our life, moments adrift,
And the memories we have woven above.
With each page, I am reminded of you,
And the happiness that our love imbues.

Your love, as bountiful as the monsoons,
And as precious as the diamonds of India's moons,
Is a source of inspiration and wonder,
And a reminder of the joy we ponder.
Just as the epic tales of Ramayana and Mahabharata,
Celebrate the beauty of love and sacrifice,
So do these diaries, with your hand so fair,
Commemorate the love we cherish and prize.

In the spirit of Bhakti and Sufi saints,
You have given me a treasure beyond measure,
A reflection of the love that sustains,
And the devotion that I will always treasure.
Your gift transcends the boundaries of time,
And will remain a precious work of rhyme.

So, thank you, love of my life, for these diaries,
That you brought from New Delhi and Rajasthan,
For the memories and moments that you carry,
And the love that you impart, pure and grand.
You are the light that shines in my life,
And these diaries are a testament to our love and strife.
