If
If
By Nancy Rodriquez
If I had the cure for us,
and if I could win back your trust,
Our hearts could heal up fine,
If you were still mine.
I know the stars would again align,
and none would be out of place,
If it did not feel as if it was too late.
If I could turn back time again,
and take back the suffering and pain,
I would do this in a flapjack moment,
instead of thoughts in my head not making sense,
If I could erase every mistake I have made with you,
and get another chance to prove,
I could be all you expect me to be,
and not be drowning in the tears like the sea,
If you could love me again, I know we could shine as the blazing sun for the world to take notice of,
If.
