Fly Away
Fair and frightened by the world that be..
Would you be my hero..Would you rescue me..
Stranded and estranged by everything she knows..
Suddenly a butterfly follows her everywhere she goes..
Out in the sunlight hiding under a tree..
Fly with me fair lady..Fly away with me..
Nestled on a Tree Leaf..Wind blows through her hair..
That strong little butterfly sticks to a leaf so bare..
Frail yet with such beauty..yellow,black and blue..
Dear little butterfly can I rescue you?..
Fear that her wings cannot withstand the breeze..
She puts her finger underneath..her little legs stick to me..
I'll walk you to a safe place..I'll find a stronger tree..
Fly away with beauty that most folk wouldn't see..
Have you ever taken a moment to look around..
To look up in the big blue sky or smell a lilac found..
Smell the scent of Raindrops on a hot long summer day..
Listen to the ocean or hear what seashells say..
Whisper words I love you and hope they are returned..
Kiss your baby's forehead or watch a fire burn..
Everyone has beauty they see in different ways..
It's painted In a picture..or in a sky of Grey..
Have you ever known the reason or the words of a song..
And wished upon a falling star that nothing would go wrong..
In life we find Beauty In everything we see..
It's up to you to cherish it..and sense what it could be..
You may not realize it..but beauty's everywhere..
It's in a perfect rainbow or the breeze that parts your hair..
I hope you feel some comfort in these words I write from home..
And know that when you feel that way you'll never walk alone..
