This piece is beautiful and so haunting. It does such a good job in conveying the fictional story that it feels auto biographical. Well done.

Why thank you, Michelle. You are too kind. Well, actually, just kind enough. LoL I'm glad you liked the aspect of me that I do not excel in. Wait'll you subscribe to discover I'm way cooler everywhere other than here. ;-)

I'm not going to try and elaborate on everything I find captivating here. I'll just say that you actually captured 'me' in this timeless piece of poetry. It's absolutely beautiful. It made me cry.

This one forced me to step outside my comfort zone to where you actually excel, Robin. I'm not much for storytelling, whereas you are brilliant at it.
This is as it states about a woman who lost her husband only to fall, subsequently, into fear. Hence, her ensuing battle with agoraphobia.
It paints a picture of her as she is able only to peek through cracks and windows to see a world she was once part of before losing her beloved. He was her strength and her fortress, unbeknownst to her, but for having lost a strong, loving support structure in her life.

It's funny how you can even become emotional when creating fiction isn't it? I had to invest a bit more of myself into this both creatively and emotionally, if only a "fictional emotion," so to speak.

As always, I very much appreciate your presence and hope you are doing well.
I did just post a sort of ho-hum topic poem this morning if you care to check it out. It's entitled "Hypocrisy." Yes, it will be hard to grasp, but just do your best is all I can ask. Thank you my friend. :-)

You were able to embrace the hard-to-express emotions of Agoraphobia; and put it into an eloquent piece of poetry. Anyone who can step outside of their personal 'comfort-zone' and/or enter the mind or soul of others...well...I believe they have a very special gift. And even though I'm not a Widow, I can relate to this poem intensely. I tried to express some of these same feelings in a poem I wrote called 'Beyond My Window'. Excellent work Steve! :)
