A father's piece

Happiness Makate 2003 (Glen Cowie)

The heart is pierced
Stoned to a pulp
Changing directions everyday
Trying to find a right path to stick on
What can you expect from a blinded teenage boy
Telling himself he does not need a guider
Engulfing the pain,
In a little dark room
There in the corner of his heart
Rejecting everything they taught him
Running wild,
Looking for happiness
Forgetting it is in his birth name
Figured out there is a puzzle missing in him
A picture of a man he does not even know
The sorrows are building up
Rebellion on him mind
A shining star turned into a morning star
By the world's evilness
Thought he could keep all the misery inside
But the demons are starting to be overcrowded
Weakening his once-happy spirit
Crushing down to his knees everyday
Hoping the demons would not break the door
Down to the external
The world still needs me
But I could not need you more
