Son of the sun

Banu Florentina Maria 2008 (Innsbruck)

To the edge of the world id run,
Hoping to get blessed by the sun,
Id bargain with the moon itself,
Ask it to put the stars on a shelf,

To let me see the son of the sun,
Come down to Earth ,shine upon us,
As you draw our fates with the gods,
Id hand you my heart in shards,

As we hold hands, walking the path of time,
Oh , what I wouldnt do for this love of mine,

For the son of the sun,
The angel of my dreams,
My one and only......

About this poem

Son of the sun is about loving someone, picturing them as a god,a mystical creature of the sun , perfection itself. Its about wanting them, wanting their love and attention but feeling as though theres something else taking it away, symbolised here by the stars. When the moon puts them away, its all so real and its all so sweet and its whats keeping the speaker alive on the path of time. The angel line is a refrence to the lovers name which they said meant archangel of the sun. That is also why they are called the son of the sun here , in the title.
