A Beacon of Light: The Reawakening of the North Eastern Hill University , Meghalaya

Mawphniang Napoleon 1993 (Ri Bhoi)

In the far-off North Eastern hills,
Where once a beacon of education stood,
A university that scholars filled with thrills,
With knowledge that did flow like gentle floods.
Its halls resounded with the sound of youth,
Who sought to learn and grow in every way,
With minds that sought the path of wisdom, truth,
And hearts that burned with passion every day.
But now its walls have fallen into ruin,
Its glory lost, its once proud name forgot,
And all that's left are memories of our win,
And dreams of what we could have wrought.
But who will rise to take its place once more,
And bring back life to its neglected shore?
It is a noble quest, a sacred task,
To raise the fallen, and restore its past,
And bring back to life a place so vast,
With knowledge, love, and purpose built to last.
And who, indeed, is fit for such a role,
And who will brave the challenges, so bold?
It is not wealth, nor might, nor fame, nor power,
That will bring back the lost North Eastern bower,
But courage, vision, faith, and perseverance,
And a will to work with skill, and excellence.
And so, let us rise and take the lead,
And build our future, with a heart and soul,
And let the world see what we can achieve,
And bask in the glory of our North Eastern goal.
For we are the ones who hold the key,
To unlock the doors of knowledge and of liberty,
And show the world what we can do,
With a heart that's filled with love, and virtue.
And when we've finished, and the work is done,
And the North Eastern hills do glow with pride,
We'll stand and say, with joy and satisfaction,
"We built our future, and we did with pride!"
And so, my friends, let us begin the work,
With courage, love, and perseverance,
And bring back the glory of our North Eastern bower,
And show the world what we can truly do, with excellence!

For this is not just a building project,
But a symbol of what we can achieve,
A testament to our collective efforts,
And a legacy that will long relieve.
With every brick, and every stroke of paint,
We'll write a story that will never fade,
Of a people who refused to faint,
And rose to greatness, in the North Eastern shade.
We'll foster minds that think, and hearts that feel,
And equip them with the tools to succeed,
For our university will be a steel,
That can weather any storm, and any need.
And when our students leave its halls, so bright,
They'll carry with them the North Eastern light.
For we will build our North Eastern Hill University,
With passion, love, and dedication,
And bring back its lost glory, with a will so true,
And make it a place of inspiration.
So let us join hands, and take the lead,
And build a future that is bold and bright,
For this is our time, and this is our deed,
To leave a legacy of love and light!

And when the future generations look back,
At the North Eastern Hill University's track,
They'll see a place where knowledge and dreams unite,
And a story of courage and perseverance in sight.
And they'll be inspired by our noble quest,
And strive to continue what we have begun,
For the North Eastern Hill University, at its best,
Is a source of pride, and a shining sun.
And so, let us work together, hand in hand,
With hearts that beat as one, and a common goal,
To build a university that will stand,
Through the ages, and forever roll.
For we are the ones who can make it so,
We are the ones who can bring back its glow.
So let us build our North Eastern Hill University,
With love and pride, and a spirit so strong,
And let the world know that we have the ability,
To make a difference, and to right the wrong.
For we are the ones who will build it so,
And we are the ones who will make it grow!

And as we build, we'll also grow,
For in this work, we'll find our own strength,
And learn that anything is possible, if we just know,
That with hard work, and perseverance, at any length.
We'll discover talents that we never knew we had,
And grow in ways that we never thought we could,
For the North Eastern Hill University, so grand,
Is not just a place of learning, but of growth and good.
And as we build, we'll also mend,
The bonds that tie us to each other, and to this land,
For we'll work together, as friends,
With a common purpose, and a common hand.
And when the work is done, and the sun sets,
We'll look back with pride, and say, "We did it!"
So let us build our North Eastern Hill University,
With love, and laughter, and a spirit so bright,
And let us bring back its lost glory, with unity,
And make it a place of hope, and of light.
For we are the ones who will build it so,
And we are the ones who will make it grow!

And when the work is done, and the dust settles,
We'll stand tall, and bask in its warm glow,
And know that we've built something that no one can unsettle,
A monument to our strength, and what we've come to know.
For this university will be our legacy,
A symbol of what we've achieved together,
A source of pride, and a shining testimony,
Of a people who refused to surrender.
And when we're gone, and time has passed,
Our university will still stand fast,
A beacon of hope, and a shining star,
For the generations that will come so far.
So let us build our North Eastern Hill University,
With hearts full of love, and a vision so bright,
And bring back its lost glory, with unity,
And make it a place of inspiration, day and night.
For we are the ones who will build it so,
And we are the ones who will make it grow!

And when the work is done, and we look back,
At what we've built, with our own two hands,
We'll feel a sense of pride, and a sense of sack,
For we've accomplished what few could ever stand.
We'll see a place where students come to learn,
And where they leave with knowledge, skills, and more,
A place where dreams are made, and the future is earned,
And where the future shines, brighter than ever before.
And when we're gone, and our time has come,
Our university will still stand tall,
A symbol of our love, and our hearts' song,
A place that will inspire, and enthrall.
So let us build our North Eastern Hill University,
With hearts full of hope, and a vision so bright,
And bring back its lost glory, with unity,
And make it a place of inspiration, day and night.
For we are the ones who will build it so,
And we are the ones who will make it grow!
Let’s build together.
