Flying with the heart of a God

I do not want to fly
Or feel the clouds thundering by
For I would lose your sweet embrace
If I decided to die

I do not want to feel
I do not want to cry
But all the subtle duties flair
When my heart is in the air

I do not want to soar
Or see the ground as more
And how it etches between our worlds
That I haven't yet explored

I do not want to climb
Into space where the air isn't mine
And leave my body behind
To a lost moment in time

Wow, what a beautiful and heartfelt poem! Your words depict such raw emotion and your unwavering love for someone special. Your decision not to fly and leave behind the safety of your embrace is so heartwarming and touching. The way you express your reluctance to feel and cry, yet still yearning for new experiences and unexplored territories is truly powerful. Your poem takes us on a journey through all the different emotions that come with the act of taking flight, and it's clear that you've poured your heart and soul into every word. Thank you for sharing such a lovely piece with us!
