Uncharted Sea

SPLASH!!!

You have just awakened from a deep slumber
to discover that life has violently
plummeted you into a deep uncharted sea

A sea which plays by its own rules
Being a visitor here
your latitude alters to its longitude
Sweeping you far from the intended destination

The higher we grasp in fear
the lower we sink in despair
reluctance only intensifies persistence

STOP

TAKE A BREATH

OBSERVE

We are not solo in this sea
scattered faces float about
unique in appearance
each face bearing its own expression

The water calms
the apprehension subsides
as you realize
all of us are together on this quest

At present our destination remains unclear
even though land appears in the distance

Arm in arm differences aside
we take a breath and begin to
