Inner Chaos

My thoughts were troubled by the figments of my imagination,
And I struggled to keep my mind in perfect order,
As it went reeling from a plethora of images and sounds,
I tried to maintain my equilibrium in the midst of this chaos,
And succeeded to train myself to stillness,,
My innermost capacities were awakened as I fought,
To maintain the senses against a barrage of input,
I was deeply moved by my own plight,
And a feeling of triumph filled my being,
I yearned to face greater challenges,
And I put this victory behind me.
