My Friend

Shannon Tyrell Vereen 1979 (georgia)

No matter what, when I see your face, I smile.
Because I know that if there is a problem,
you'll try to fix it even if it takes a while.
From sun up until moon down,
I realized that you are the person I could call.
Through the good days as well as the storms,
you stood by my side, comforting me and all.
Even when it felt like no one else cared, you did.
I appreciated everything you did for me now,
because then I was to ashamed to admit it.
We have grown as good times came and left,
although it's not over yet.
However, do not worry because a friendship like this would be very dramatic to forget.
