Rick Makes the Meal

Doug Blair 1951 (London)

I will cook tonight Honey.
Bad day for you at the Day Care.
Jimmy still tossing things
Spitting out his Dad’s profanity.
Darlene with the wet pants.
Your buddy Charles stifle his smirks?
Could you?
Friday evening.
Having braved the roads.
So much construction, YUK!
Kick off them tight shoes.
Purse in the front hall.
Spaniel Rusty needs a hug.
Follows you to the Lay-zee-Boy.
Plump, foosh, sigh.
Honey do you want Lasagna
Or Butter Chicken?
375 for 40 minutes.
I’ll be in with you after cutting, tossing Salad.
Peach yogurt for dessert.
Your favourite, Honey.
Howbout some Mateus?
So didn’t I listen good.
A good coach happened by
Time and again.
Rusty, give her a little more foot space.
Couldjya?
You wanted that mutt
Not me.
Say.
When is it again
That we get the Ultrasound?
(Speaking of ovens.)
Picture behind Theresa
Shows beautiful sun rising
Over a lake.
