tell me

tell me what your thinking
then promise in the morning
you’ll be with me, safe and free
free of all your groaning
i will not get ahead of myself
i will not push you away
for you make me think in fairytales
and dream of things i crave
i feel the start of something hot
burning on my skin
your chocolate eyes like honey pots
churned from deep within
i eat your words with a new desire
one i have never owned
you wake me, you excite me.
you rip the veil i’ve sown
you take it down.
you look at me.
you hold my gaze.
your all i see.
i hold my breath
you touch me still
you hold my head
your breath is chill
please tell me what your thinking love
my heart is yours alone
please hold my soul with gentle hands
entwined our hands have grown
your warmth has melted
a heart i hate
and turned it to a lake
we swim in it and still relate
the blessing we made to take.

i will love you till my last breath.
