Smelled, listened, winced.
Hungry always for the right facts
The right atmosphere.
Snakes, tigers, jungle boys.
Low ranked fighting men
Dying, striving, laughing
For Empire and Victoria.
“Road to Mandalay
Where the flying fishes play
And the dawn comes up like thunder…”
