COLD FINGERS

There was a time that I held everything inside
There was a time when I use to hide
The blood in my heart is pumping and my bones are cold
Even though it seems to be raining the sunshine is filling my soul, I do not need the hate and the anger to fill my mind and I do not need those who lay in wait for me to cross that line.

With cold fingers, I am going to turn the page to the next chapter which is my so cold life wishing that with old age my fingers do not break. I need to listen with deaf ears as the fools speak of my journeys that they will never understand and as they pray for strength I walk out of the darkness with the head of their beast

They continue to try to push me as I continue to pull
There is no destination and there is no target, their flames are dwindling and mine are just starting to inlight this has become to turn into a dog fight

No longer do I say can I take my shirt off, boss
No longer do I say the words cold fingers
No longer do I speak of the events of yesterday because no longer do they matter let them speak of their ways and how they do not meet mine
My fingers are warm and no longer cold
